Proxy Earth free mobile number lookup
Check mobile number details in seconds, for India and 200+ countries. See if a number is real, which network first issued it, what type it is and how to dial it.
Runs inside your browser. The number you type never reaches our server. We never show names, addresses or live location.
Paste one number per line, then press Check all. You can download the results as a CSV file.
What your Proxy Earth result means
Every phone number follows a world standard called E.164. That standard lets the tool split a number into parts and read each one. The data comes from public numbering plans, the same source Android phones use.
A regulator gives each network a block of numbers. The first digits after +91 tell you which block a number belongs to. The last digits belong to one SIM.
- Status
- Valid means the number sits in a range that has been issued. Unused range means the length fits but no network uses that block. Invalid means it cannot be a real number.
- Number type
- Mobile, landline, toll-free, internet calling and more. In India, toll-free numbers start with 1800.
- First operator
- The network that first received the block. People can switch networks and keep their number, so today’s network may be different. We also note old brands that merged, such as Idea and Vodafone becoming Vi.
- Landline area
- For landlines we show the city linked to the STD code. Mobile numbers are not tied to a place, so we never guess one.
- Local time
- The time right now where the number is registered. It helps before you call family or a client abroad.
- Formats
- E.164 for apps and SMS tools, international for sharing, and national for dialing inside the country. Each one has a copy button.
Looking for proxyearth.org? Read this first
Many people search for proxyearth.org to find the name or address behind a number. That service ran as a website and a Telegram bot. News reports said it showed full names, fathers’ names, home addresses and Aadhaar numbers.
Security writers linked that data to old leaks of telecom KYC records. Those records belong to real people who never agreed to share them. Using or passing on leaked Aadhaar and KYC data can break Indian privacy and IT laws.
This site is not proxyearth.org and has no link to it. Our lookup answers safe questions about a number and never reveals who owns it. It also works for Bangladesh, Pakistan, Nepal and more than 200 other countries.
Be careful with any “Proxy Earth APK” or tracker app from outside the Play Store. Apps that promise to track a number can carry malware or copy your contacts.
- ProxyEarth goes live as a website and Telegram bot.
- India notifies the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025.
- SC Media reports that the site exposes names, addresses and Aadhaar numbers.
Can Proxy Earth find a mobile number’s location?
No. No legal public tool can show where a person is from their number. Live location sits with mobile networks. They release it only to law enforcement through a legal request. Any site that claims otherwise is guessing or using stolen data.

How Indian phone numbers work
Indian mobile numbers have 10 digits and start with 6, 7, 8 or 9. The country code is +91. From a landline, you add 0 before a mobile number. The first digits also tell you who is calling, so check them before you pick up. Our mobile number series list shows the operator for each block, and the STD code finder covers every landline code.
| Number kind | Starts with | Example | What it means |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mobile | 6, 7, 8, 9 | 98765 43210 | A personal or business mobile number. |
| Landline | STD code | 011 2345 6789 | A fixed line tied to a city. 011 is Delhi, 022 is Mumbai. |
| Toll-free | 1800 | 1800 123 4567 | Free for you to call. The business pays. |
| Telemarketing | 140 | 140xxxxxxx | Promotional calls from registered telemarketers. |
| Service calls | 160 | 160xxxxxxx | Service and transaction calls from government bodies and verified firms. |
| Financial service | 1601 | 1601xxxxxx | Banks and firms regulated by RBI, SEBI, PFRDA and IRDAI. |
What does proxy mean? (Proxy kya hai)
A proxy is something that acts in place of something else. In college, a proxy is when a friend marks your attendance. Online, a proxy server sits between you and a website and hides your real IP address.
A proxy number works the same way. Taxi and delivery apps give riders and drivers a masked number. Both sides can talk without seeing each other’s real number.
आसान शब्दों में, प्रॉक्सी का मतलब है किसी और की जगह काम करने वाला। प्रॉक्सी नंबर आपका असली नंबर छिपाकर बात करवाता है।
If you want to keep your own number private, use the masked calling feature in apps that offer it. Avoid posting your number in public groups and on social media.
